Chicago

In the morning, I (Candace) wanted to leave quickly since the couple was arguing again. I think that was the fastest I moved. Once we got on the road we set out for Chicago, IL. Sarah and I were excited to see the Bean aka. The Cloud Gate.

When we arrived, we found parking easily that was right by it. We walked up to the Bean surprised at how large the structure was. Also, there was a huge crowd of people gathered around it taking pictures. We were able to snap a few photos of us and The Cloud Gate (photos below).

Before we got to The Cloud Gate, I looked at a map of the park and realized there were a few other art structures. So we walked over to the Crowne Fountain. These structures were neat because they are huge billboard sized LED photos of people’s faces. Sometimes the fountain would go off and the faces were spitting water out of their mouths.

After watching the fountain for a while, we got hungry and decided to go to Gio’s for Chicago’s Deep Dish Pizza. There we had a delicious BBQ Chicken Deep Dish Pizza. The crust was thick with cheese inside it, which made it taste so yummy.

We enjoyed our pizza and then headed for our friend’s apartment. There we met her roommate, who was really nice, and then the four of us played the domino’s game Mexican train. We had a great time talking and playing the game. Then it was time to turn in for the night.

Much love,
